Filming on the second season is done, the cast list keeps growing, and fans are trying to work out what the new episodes will look like. Here’s Everything We Know About “Off Campus” Season 2, plus a bit of context, since the show moves fast and the books behind it add a few complications.

Everything We Know About “Off Campus” Season 2

We cover the news around Prime Video’s romance hit regularly at MediaAtLife, and a lot of what follows comes from tracking that news week by week. One thing first: there is still no official premiere date. Anything you see claiming otherwise is a guess. What we do have is a finished shoot, a mostly locked cast and a clear picture of whose story comes next.

A Quick Look Back at Season 1

Off Campus arrived on Prime Video on May 13, 2026, with all eight episodes available at once. It’s adapted from Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series about the hockey players of the fictional Briar University and the people who fall for them. Louisa Levy developed the show, and Kennedy is credited as a producer.

The first season put Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) at the center. Hannah is a quiet songwriter and Garrett is Briar’s star hockey player. It’s an opposites-attract story, and it worked. According to reporting from Lifestyle Asia, the season pulled in 36 million viewers in its first 12 days, which made it the third most-watched debut season in Prime Video history. Prime had renewed the show in February, three months before it aired, so the numbers backed up a decision that already looked confident.

Season 1 also set up a lot. It introduced the core group of players (Garrett, Dean, Logan and Tucker) and gave Hannah’s best friend and roommate, Allie Hayes, a storyline that ran alongside the main romance. Allie breaks up with her boyfriend Sean. She’s then revealed to be secretly hooking up with Dean Di Laurentis. That sideline became the thing many viewers talked about most, and it’s where Season 2 picks up.

The finale changed the terms of that arrangement. Allie admits she also hooked up with Hunter Davenport (Charlie Evans), who has a history with Dean and a grudge to go with it. Hunter first appears under a different name, Carter St. James V, and turns out to be a dark horse. The fandom wiki says Season 2 continues directly from the bar fight between Dean and Hunter at Malone’s, so the new season has no time jump to ease you back in.

Why Season 2 Belongs to Allie and Dean

Season 2 is built around Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn). Prime Video confirmed this about two weeks after Season 1 premiered, and the story comes from The Score, the third book in Kennedy’s series.

That raised some eyebrows. The Mistake, the second book, follows John Logan and Grace Ivers, and many viewers assumed the show would go in order. It didn’t. Allie and Dean’s storyline got a head start in Season 1, and the show has been building their dynamic since the first episodes. Giving them the spotlight while the audience is still invested makes sense.

There’s a structural reason too. In Season 1, Dean and Allie’s scenes were among the most talked about, and the finale ended on a cliffhanger about them. Moving on to a different couple after that would have felt like skipping ahead. Anyone who has watched the show with a group chat open will tell you people wanted to see what happens after the bar fight.

What We Can Expect From the Story

Without spoiling the book for people who haven’t read it, here’s the general setup of The Score. Allie is an ambitious actress who’s just ended a relationship with a boyfriend who didn’t support her dreams. Dean is a charming, confident player with a reputation for not taking things seriously. What starts out casual gets harder to keep casual. It’s a slow-burn, friends-to-something-more story, and it’s built around two people who’d rather not admit what they’re actually feeling.

The show has already changed things. In the books, Allie isn’t hooking up with a hockey rival of Dean’s. That’s a TV addition, and it gives the new season a bigger conflict than the book alone offers. Dean has to deal with feelings he’s been avoiding, and he has to do it while a man he actively dislikes is part of the picture. Expect the show to use Hunter more than the book does, and the casting suggests the same thing. Reporting on the returning cast says Charlie Evans is expected to play a larger role this time.

Allie’s theater background also matters. She’s a drama major, and the new season adds a storyline that should put her right in the middle of Briar’s drama department. More on that below.

Dean’s family life is another piece. The Season 2 cast includes his younger sister, which tells us the show plans to spend time on the parts of Dean that the campus playboy image hides. That’s the thing the book does best, and it’s the part of the story that could make the season feel different from a standard romance.

The Cast: Who’s Returning and Who’s New

The main cast is coming back. Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn lead. Antonio Cipriano returns as John Logan and Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker. Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli are still in the ensemble as Hannah and Garrett, and Charlie Evans is back as Hunter.

The new faces are where it gets interesting:

  • Shay Rudolph as Summer Di Laurentis. She plays Dean’s younger sister, described as a bubbly, fashion-loving and chaotic presence. In The Score, Summer visits Dean on campus. Expect her to shake up his routine.
  • India Fowler as Grace Ivers. Grace is a sociology major and a freshman trying to find her place at Briar U. Fowler was announced for the role in April, before Season 1 even premiered, which tells you the producers planned this far ahead.
  • Phillipa Soo as Scarlett. Soo is known for Hamilton. She plays a theater artist guest-directing an original play in the drama department. Given that Allie is an aspiring actress, it’s hard to see those two not crossing paths.

One departure is worth knowing about. Josh Heuston will not return as Justin Kohl. He was part of the first season’s cast, and his exit is confirmed. If you want more on the actors who made Season 1 work, we wrote about Belmont Cameli, Ella Bright and Josh Heuston and how each has built a career.

What Happens to Hannah and Garrett?

Fans of the first couple can relax. Showrunner Louisa Levy has said Hannah and Garrett will remain in the ensemble, and Deadline’s reporting describes the season as letting them live out their happily ever after. They’re not leads anymore, but they’re not gone.

That’s a smart choice. The show is a rotating-romance format, like the books, and each season moves to a new couple. But it only works if the old couples stay around as part of the world. Seeing Hannah and Garrett as established, supportive friends to Allie and Dean gives the new story more weight. It also keeps the Season 1 audience invested while new viewers settle in.

There has been some off-screen chatter about the two actors, too. Ella Bright has spoken about how she and Belmont Cameli reacted to rumors of a feud between them, and the two posted a TikTok from the Season 2 set on September 7, saying they were back at work and that the wait would be worth it. That’s a long way from any feud.

Logan and Grace: Setting Up a Bigger Story

The most discussed side of Season 2 might be John Logan and Grace Ivers. Their romance is the subject of The Mistake, the second book, and the show isn’t adapting that book this season. Reports say their full love story is being saved for a possible third season.

But Grace is in the cast, and she’s in Season 2. That means the show is introducing her now. The likely reading is that the two meet and begin something this season, and the larger, more emotional version of their story comes later. In the books, the two characters start with a hookup that goes badly, which gives a lot of room for tension before the real romance starts. It would be very like this show to plant that early and let it build.

Fans have also been reading into clips from the set. A TikTok making the rounds shows Antonio Cipriano sprinting across campus in a suit, in the style of The Graduate. A man in formal clothes running toward something rarely signals a minor plot point. We don’t know what scene it belongs to, and it may be completely unrelated to Grace, but it’s a good reminder of how closely fans are watching.

Filming: Vancouver Stands In for Briar U

Cameras started rolling on June 1, 2026, in Vancouver. The production is based at North Shore Studios, and the University of British Columbia plays Briar University again, as it did in Season 1. The schedule ran through September 18, and the wrap has since been confirmed. Reports say Season 1 filmed from June to October of the previous year.

Levy has said all eight scripts were finished, which matters more than it sounds. A show that films from complete scripts avoids the rewrites and delays that hit many productions mid-shoot. Eight episodes seems to be the plan again, matching the first season.

The wrap-up also gave the cast a chance to say goodbye to a long summer of shooting, and plenty of them did so on Instagram. If you want to see how they marked it, our piece on the wrap announcement and the cast’s reactions has the details.

When Will Off Campus Season 2 Premiere?

This is the question everyone asks, and the honest answer is that Prime Video hasn’t said. There’s no announced date, no teaser date and no official window.

What we can do is look at the pattern. Season 1 filmed from June to October 2025 and premiered the following May. Season 2 filmed from June to September 2026. If Prime Video follows the same gap between wrap and release, the widely repeated estimate is April or May 2027. That’s a reasonable guess. It’s still a guess, and streaming schedules shift for all sorts of reasons, including competition from other releases, marketing plans and post-production time.

A spring release also fits the show’s profile. Season 1 premiered in mid-May, so a similar slot would keep the show in the same part of the calendar. But don’t plan around it yet. If you want to be ready the moment something is confirmed, bookmark the official Prime Video page and keep an eye on the cast’s social accounts, which have tended to announce things first.

Where to Watch

Off Campus is a Prime Video original, so Season 1 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, and Season 2 will arrive there too. Prime Video is available in more than 240 countries and territories, though pricing and title availability vary by region. In India, for example, Prime Video access starts at ₹299 a month, according to Amazon’s own information.

If you’re catching up before Season 2, all eight Season 1 episodes are ready to stream. Our step-by-step guide to watching Off Campus covers how to sign up and what to check if the show isn’t appearing in your region.

Should You Read the Books First?

It depends on how you like to watch. The show is based on Elle Kennedy’s five-book Off-Campus series, and the order runs The Deal (Hannah and Garrett), The Mistake (Logan and Grace), The Score (Dean and Allie), and then onward through the rest of the series. Season 1 adapted the first book, and Season 2 moves to the third.

Reading The Score before the season comes out will give you the emotional context for Dean and Allie, and you’ll know where the show departs from the source. The Hunter storyline, for example, is a show invention. But if you’d rather go in fresh and let the show surprise you, that’s also fine. The series has made changes to the books on purpose, and a few of them have been welcome.

There’s one more reason to pick up The Mistake in particular. Since Grace is showing up in Season 2 but her full story comes later, reading that book first tells you who she is and why people are excited about her. Not essential, but useful.

What the Show Still Needs to Prove

It’s worth being straight about a few things. Season 1 was a hit by the numbers, but second seasons of romance series carry a particular risk. The first season gets to introduce everyone and build a slow romance. The second has to keep the energy up while moving on from the lead couple most viewers fell for.

Season 2 has some advantages. Allie and Dean aren’t strangers to the audience, and the finale set up a clear conflict. Bringing in new characters like Summer, Grace and Scarlett gives the writers more to work with than a single romance. And having all eight scripts ready before filming started is a good sign.

The risks are just as clear. Juggling more storylines means less room for each one. If the show tries to cover Dean and Allie, Logan and Grace’s setup, Hannah and Garrett’s happily-ever-after, Scarlett’s play and Hunter’s grudge in eight episodes, something will get squeezed. How the writers balance that will decide whether the season feels full or crowded.

Quick Answers to Common Questions

Is there a Season 2 release date? Not yet. Prime Video hasn’t announced one, and April or May 2027 is an estimate based on the Season 1 timeline.

Who stars in Season 2? Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn lead as Allie and Dean, with Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli and Charlie Evans returning. New cast members include Shay Rudolph, India Fowler and Phillipa Soo.

Which book is Season 2 based on? The Score, the third book in Elle Kennedy’s series.

Is Josh Heuston coming back? No. He won’t return as Justin Kohl.

Will Logan and Grace get their full story? Reports suggest their complete romance, from The Mistake, is being saved for a possible third season. Season 2 is expected to introduce Grace and start things off.

Has filming finished? Yes. Production ran from June 1 to September 18 in Vancouver, and the wrap has been confirmed.

The Bottom Line

Off Campus Season 2 is closer than it looks from the outside. The scripts are done, the cameras have stopped, the cast is set, and the story is clear. Allie and Dean take the lead, Hunter complicates things, Hannah and Garrett stay close by, and new characters open up storylines that could carry the show into a third season.

What’s missing is the date. Until Prime Video announces it, the smart move is to rewatch Season 1, read The Score if you like, and ignore any site that claims to know the exact premiere day.
